Beth Carino

Beth is an international business development executive with over 25 years of experience in life sciences, spanning technical operations, project management, marketing, and business development. She began her career in clinical pathology, spending a decade in laboratory management and client services before transitioning into the preclinical space. She has since built and led business development functions across global preclinical CROs, academic research institutions, and early-stage biotech companies - including government procurement - with a proven ability to translate complex scientific capabilities into compelling investment and partnership opportunities. Her end-to-end understanding of the translational landscape, from clinical diagnostics through preclinical research and into clinical development, gives her unique insight into where scientific evidence is strong, where the gaps lie, and what it takes to make a program investor-ready.

We work in collaboration with leading international research institutions across preclinical and clinical domains

Denes is a physician-scientist with over 30 years of experience spanning translational neuroscience, molecular biology, and neurotherapeutic development. He holds a Ph.D. in chemical neurotransmission and has worked and published across a broad range of neuroscience and molecular biology domains - from neuronal signaling and neuroinflammation to biomarker validation and CNS drug development.

His career has taken him across leading international institutions including the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, research centers in Australia, the nIH, and academic institutions across Europe and the United States.

Beyond research, Denes has worked directly in the commercial side of neuroscience - as a consultant to biotech and neuropharma companies, and as founder and CEO of a company that developed a novel platform combining BOLD fMRI imaging with neuroinformatics to characterize the target specificity of candidate molecules for central pain. His consulting work has had tangible program impact: he helped a major European pharmaceutical company identify the lead compound with the most favorable side effect from a competitive series; devised the preclinical development strategy for a U.S.-based company repositioning an existing molecule for a new CNS indication; and helped a mid-size U.S. biotech develop and adapt their existing in-house assay platforms for neuroscience applications. That breadth of engagement - compound selection, program strategy, and capability development - reflects the range of decisions where deep translational neuroscience expertise changes outcomes. It also gives SignalNeuro Partners' assessments a perspective that purely academic or purely commercial advisors cannot offer.

SignalNeuro Partners is his independent practice, bringing together scientific rigor, international research depth, and direct industry experience to serve investors and companies navigating the most demanding arena in drug development.
